Tips for Winter Spa Visits

Tips for Winter Spa Visits

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the spa is so delightful… And since we’ve no place to go- let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!Give yourself a little more time

We know to-do lists don’t shorten with the daylight hours, but your body needs a little more rest during this season. Come early for your appointment and spend some time in our waiting area or sauna, and transition from a busy life. Add a cup of our hot herbal tea to warm your heart.  Your mind, body and spirit will thank you.

Add a sauna

Our sauna is not only sublimely warming but also a great boost to your immunity. It detoxifies and fortifies your system and preps your skin and muscles to receive your treatment more fully.

Make it a Habit

Being consistent with your treatments not only gives you something to look forward to, but it creates a balance within your body with consistency. Consider adding The Dragontree Wellness Community membership package to your holiday wish list. For under $400 for the entire year, you can be enjoying special Thermae Retreat sessions once or more a month- this is seriously a great value for anyone who comes to the spa at least once a month (or would like to!)

Try a hot stone massage

If the winter chills have settled in and don’t seem to dissipate, try a hot stone massage. Warm, smooth stones are used to relax the tissue and massage the muscles. If you’re feeling a bit of the winter blues, consider an Uplifting Aromatherapy Massage, and allow our blend of essential oils raise your spirits, awaken your senses, and invigorate your circulation.

Pamper that winter exposed skin

If your skin is getting dry and no moisture seems to take, consider a daydream facial or Chai Sugar Polish. Oxygenating the tissue and removing the thick outer layer will prepare your skin for receiving moisture and nourishment.

Make your needs known

A great tip all year round – is to remember that when visiting a spa, it is your experience. The day may have been hectic and you might need more mellow music, a warmer treatment room, or a more nurturing touch on this day. Always feel comfortable to ask for these changes. Your visit to the spa is an important time for self-care and we want to make every effort to provide for your needs.

Going to be following most of these once the baby is in bed and the hubby is at work this evening! There is such thing as a night spa, right?
